The Rise and Triumph of the Modern Self: This Sunday we continued our Christian Education series for adults built around Carl Trueman’s book, “The Rise and Triumph of the Modern Self’. We are drawing very close to the end of the book. There will only be three more sessions on the material. If you have wondered why Pride month and the lgbtq movement have gained so much traction in our culture, Trueman’s book is essential reading. That is his focus in the final sections of the book as he draws together all the strands of earlier chapters to explain the sexual ethos of the present age.
