What’s Happening at Good Shepherd This Week
Change for Life Campaign “Mother’s Day weekend 2013, I found out I was 7 weeks pregnant. I talked to my pastor and his wife, and they referred me to Life Choices Center. I felt welcomed when I walked through the door. They really helped me through my pregnancy and helped me become a better parent. To this day, I still use the methods I learned from newborn baby to early childhood and now school age child. Glad to say my handsome little boy is now 6 years old, smart as ever, and is definitely a momma’s boy. I would definitely go back to Life Choices Center again for any help with pregnancy or parenting advice!”
This is an easy way that we as a church can help those in need at Life Choices Center. Simply pick up a baby bottle, fill it with cash, check, or coins and return it by Sunday, March 1. Life Choices Center is looking to raise $75,000 during this year’s Change for Life campaign – all to help women and men in our community before, during, and after unplanned pregnancies. Let’s join them in making this campaign a huge success! To learn more about Life Choices Center, visit: LifeChoicesCenter.org

Join us while we study this ancient collection of songs and poems that has been woven into our worship services for centuries. Please contact Christine Osgood for more information.
Good Shepherd Member Food Pantry With the rising cost of food these days, it gets harder and harder for some parents to feed their children, so food pantries like ours can help. However, if our pantry is depleted of good healthy food, that is also a problem. If you can afford to purchase an item or two to help us, please consider doing so. Giving regularly to the pantry allows Good Shepherd to give generously to those in need.
Items needed: Peanut butter, spaghetti and spaghetti sauce, canned meats (ham, beef, turkey, tuna), one box meals, nutritious child friendly foods, cereals (hot or cold), brown or white rice (1 lb bags only). cooking oils, macaroni, noodles, and soups, and anything else you’d like to bring. Paper plates and plastic cutlery, and cleaning and hygiene products are always welcome.
*Please do not donate flour or sugar as it encourages mice.

This Week
This Sunday’s Sermon will be based on John 13:17-20.
If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them. I am not speaking of all of you; I know whom I have chosen. But the Scripture will be fulfilled, ‘He who ate my bread has lifted his heel against me.’ I am telling you this now, before it takes place, that when it does take place you may believe that I am he. Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever receives the one I send receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.”
This Sunday’s Lections are 2 Kings 22:8-20, psalm 27, and 1 Corinthians 2:1-16.
Team Corinthians is working on the altar this Sunday.
Helen C. is serving on altar guild.
Nursery Sarah M. & Gwendolyn K.
Walter and Martha G. are on coffee hour.
