Change for Life Campaign
“Mother’s Day weekend 2013, I found out I was 7 weeks pregnant. I talked to my pastor and his wife, and they referred me to Life Choices Center. I felt welcomed when I walked through the door. They really helped me through my pregnancy and helped me become a better parent. To this day, I still use the methods I learned from newborn baby to early childhood and now school age child. Glad to say my handsome little boy is now 6 years old, smart as ever, and is definitely a momma’s boy. I would definitely go back to Life Choices Center again for any help with pregnancy or parenting advice!”
This is an easy way that we as a church can help those in need at Life Choices Center. Simply pick up a baby bottle, fill it with cash, check, or coins and return it by Sunday, March 1. Life Choices Center is looking to raise $75,000 during this year’s Change for Life campaign – all to help women and men in our community before, during, and after unplanned pregnancies. Let’s join them in making this campaign a huge success! To learn more about Life Choices Center, visit: LifeChoicesCenter.org

Thursday Evening Beginner’s Bible Study The Thursday evening bible study is a beginner’s bible study that takes place in the green youth classroom at 6pm each week following the Shepherd’s Bowl Community dinner. Shepherd’s Bowl Community Dinner Each Thursday evening, Good Shepherd offers a free community dinner to all. Women’s Bible Study The Women’s Bible Study meets every Saturday morning from 10 to 11AM. Women of various ages join together to study the bible, moving book by book, and verse by verse. All women are extended a warm invitation to attend. The ladies are currently studying the book of Psalms. The Psalms express so much from praise, forgiveness and gratitude for God’s grace and so much more. Join us while we study this ancient collection of songs and poems that has been woven into our worship services for centuries. Please contact Christine Osgood for more information.
Good Shepherd Member Food Pantry When we think of other countries less fortunate than ours, one of the first needs that we think of is nutritious food, and we want to help. There are people here within our congregation and community that are also in need of food. Keeping food pantries like ours well stocked provides for people in our congregation who need help putting food on the table. Those people may rely on the Good Shepherd pantry multiple times a month. If you are able to give, please consider picking up a few items the next time you shop.
Items needed: assorted pastas and sauces, canned meats, canned veggies and fruits, powdered milk and juice, coffee, tea, creamers, one box meals, kid friendly foods, cereals hot and cold, peanut butter and jelly/jam, soups and stews, crackers, rice in 1lb bags (white or brown), and anything else you’d like to bring. Paper plates and plastic cutlery, and cleaning and hygiene products are always welcome.
*Please do not donate flour or sugar as it encourages mice.

This Week
This Sunday’s Sermon will be based on John 12:42-50.
Nevertheless, many even of the authorities believed in him, but for fear of the Pharisees they did not confess it, so that they would not be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the glory that comes from man more than the glory that comes from God.
And Jesus cried out and said, “Whoever believes in me, believes not in me but in him who sent me. And whoever sees me sees him who sent me. I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness. If anyone hears my words and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. The one who rejects me and does not receive my words has a judge; the word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day. For I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment—what to say and what to speak. And I know that his commandment is eternal life. What I say, therefore, I say as the Father has told me.”
This Sunday’s Lections are Amos 3:1-11, Psalm 139:1-11, and 1 Corinthians 1:10-17.
