What’s Happening at Good Shepherd This Week
Sunday Morning Worship and Christian Ed
Dear Good Shepherd,
After many months of meeting digitally, Good Shepherd is meeting in person once again!
Both the 8am Service and the 10:30 service will be held in person at Good Shepherd each Sunday. Christian Education will still be live-streamed for this week, and will not be open to the public, however there will be a tent and chairs outside so that the class can be viewed on the property. The 8am Worship service will not be live-streamed, but the 10:30 service will be available to experience in three different ways. Please take a moment to read this note from Matt to the church explaining the options for worship this week.
Christian Education will begin at 9:15 and will be available at this link. This week we’ll continue our discussion of Clement’s epistle to the Corinthians written in 95Ad. You can read the entire epistle on our website here. If you missed last Sunday’s class on Clement, you can watch it all here.
The live-stream of the 10:30 service will be posted on Facebook each week. The stream will begin on Sunday starting at 10:20am but the service will not start until 10:30am. You should be able to access it at this link. If you don’t have a Facebook account, you will still be able to view all of the services, classes and studies.
You can download the bulletin, including the scripture readings if you click on this link. In the bulletin, you’ll notice that there are links in the offertory section to take you out to two different means of giving electronically. If you would like to send your tithe electronically, these are the best ways to do so. You can still send your tithe in by traditional mail as well. You will also notice that the front cover picture, as well as the congregational directions are now in color! This is a bright spot of enjoying a fully digital bulletin. The red is a close match to the traditional color of those directions in the BCP.
In Other News…
The Shepherd’s Bowl ministry has resumed serving the community. Meals are pre-packaged and handed out at the parking lot entrance of the building at 5pm. If you’d like information on how to become involved in helping with Shepherd’s Bowl, please contact Jonathan Groves or Martha Rice.
If you are a member of Good Shepherd and in need of food, please contact the office. We have food available in the member food pantry and are happy to coordinate a time to have you come and take some food for yourself or your family.
Youth Group will not be meeting this Sunday.
Mission Groups All Mission Groups are on hiatus for the summer, and will resume in the fall.
Women’s Bible Study The women’s bible study is still paused for the time being. Please see Christine Osgood for more information.
Bible Studies The Tuesday Morning Bible Study is meeting both digitally and in person, and the Thursday Evening Bible Study will continue meeting digitally and can be accessed at Good Shepherd’s Facebook page. Both and are being led by Matt Kennedy. You can access last week’s recordings of most studies by clicking on the tab at the top of the page entitled ‘bible studies‘.
The Men’s Breakfast and Bible Study is meeting via google hangouts. Please email Jonathan Groves @ jonathan jg.arrowhead@gmail.com or the office for more information about accessing that class.
