What’s Happening at Good Shepherd
Anne’s ACW Talk Two Saturdays ago, Anne Kennedy graciously gave a talk about growing up in Africa as the child of immigrants. If you have the time to take a listen, you’ll be in for an entertaining hour of anecdotes and history that will give you better insight into Anne and her unique life, as well as the life of the missionary family in general.
ACW Ladies Tea The Anglican Good Shepherd’s Christmas Tea is Saturday, December 12 from 12-3;00! There will be Christmas Music played by Curt Osgood, tea of course, and lite snacks. Anna Dreher is our hostess! Come and connect with other women of Good Shepherd!
If you need Anna’s address, directions, or a ride……please see Christine Osgood or Pat Chaney.
Christmas Outreach: Again this Christmas we at Good Shepherd have the amazing opportunity to celebrate Christ’s birth by helping those less fortunate than ourselves. Needy children from Saratoga Youth Center have provided us with wish lists for Christmas. Please join the Outreach Team in surprising these dear children with some special presents (valued at $15-$20) this holiday. Select a child represented on the Christmas tree in the Parish Hall and record your name, phone number, and the child’s number on the sign-up sheet. Please gift wrap the present and be sure to place the number of the child on the wrapped package. Please bring it to church by Sunday December 20th. We will help Saint Nick deliver the gifts to the children on Tuesday December 22nd. See Carmen to know the name(s) of the child/children whom you select. Thanks so much!
Thanksgiving and Good Shepherd In preparation for Thanksgiving this year, all open office hours will be cancelled from Tuesday evening until The following Tuesday morning, and the church office will also be closed. All Bible studies will be taking a break during that same time period. As always, if you have an emergency, please do call Matt or Jerry.
Harvest Dinner The 115th Annual Harvest Dinner was a great success. Many local neighbors came to join us for a hearty harvest meal. Thank you to all who helped prepare food, serve food and clean-up after the event.
Evangelism Training Save The Date! Did you ever wish you could be more effective in sharing your faith? If so, you’re not alone. The evangelism committee will be organizing a series of Sunday Morning Trainings beginning at 8:15am on Sunday December 6th. Look for details in future bulletins and Save The Date!

Tuesday Morning This Tuesday’s Bible study recording was interrupted by an internet outage. We should have a new post next Tuesday. This Week
This week’s sermon is based on Mark 13:24-31.
“But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. And then he will send out the angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven. “From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near. So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that he is near, at the very gates. Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. (Mark 13:24-31 ESV)
