What’s Happening at Good Shepherd This Week
Youth Group will be meeting via zoom this Sunday. They will be meeting in two different groups so that the meetings are manageable. The younger youth will be meeting at 6pm, and the older group at 7:15pm. Please check your email inboxes for a note from Tyler Van Fossen detailing which group your child should be attending and for more general information.
Tuesday Morning Bible Study This class began studying the book of Hosea this week. You can view this class in person at 360 Conklin Ave. in the parish hall, and it can also be viewed online. If you missed last week’s class, you can watch it here.
Thursday Evening Bible Study has also resumed. This class is currently studying the book of Ruth. If you missed the previous class, you can watch it here.
Friday Morning Men’s Breakfast will continue to meet as usual.
Mission Groups exist to bring glory to God as we help each other become more like Christ for the sake of His kingdom and church. If you are looking for a way to get involved, grow in community, and deepen your understanding of God’s word, Mission Groups are for you. And we are excited to start them up again! Please consider the list below, and if you are interested in joining any particular group, please contact that leader. If you have any questions, or would like to host or lead a group yourself, please talk with Jonathan Groves.
See the paper bulletin on Sunday for more information on dates and locations.
Sunday Morning Worship and Christian Education
Both the 8am Service and the 10:30 service will be held in person at Good Shepherd each Sunday. We ask that if you come into the building for the services that you wear a mask unless you are unable, due to health reasons, and that social distancing be practiced at all times. Christian Education will still be live-streamed and is open to the public, however the class is being taught in the parish hall part of the building with masking optional. We do ask that everyone social distance by family unit responsibly. The 8am Worship service will not be live-streamed, but the 10:30 service will be available to experience online as well as in person on the property in both the sanctuary and the outdoor worship space.
Catching Up… Did you miss last week’s sermon? You can catch it here. Last week, Matt preached on John 16:29-33.
Christian Education will begin at 9:15 and will be available at this link. Currently, Matt Kennedy is teaching a series called Controversies of the Apostolic Age.
If you missed Christian Ed last Sunday, you can watch it here.
The live-stream of the 10:30 service will be posted on Facebook each week. The stream will begin on Sunday starting at 10:20am but the service will not start until 10:30am. You should be able to access it at this link. If you don’t have a Facebook account, you will still be able to view all of the services, classes and studies.
You can download the bulletin, including the scripture readings if you click on this link. In the bulletin, you’ll notice that there are links in the offertory section to take you out to two different means of giving electronically. If you would like to send your tithe electronically, these are the best ways to do so. You can still send your tithe in by traditional mail as well.
